Terms and Conditions

Liability
You are responsible for the health and safety of Aussie Dog Walkers employees whilst on your premises.
You (the owner) understand and agree that dogs can be unpredictable and as such there is the risk of injuries whilst in the care of Aussie Dog Walkers. Whilst we always take all reasonable measures to ensure the safety of your dog you accept and agree that Aussie Dog Walkers are not responsible for injuries sustained whilst in our care as the result of confrontation with other dogs.

Booking and Payment
Initial consultation is free of charge.
Services can be paid via cash, direct deposit to bank a/c or by our PayPal account. PayPal payments attract a 5% transaction fee.
Payments must be made either in advance or by cash left on the day. Where a dog is walked for more than one day per week payment is to be made on the last walk day of each week.
If paying by bank transfer it is the responsibility of you (the owner) to be aware that bank transfers can take up to three days to complete and as such payment must reach our bank account by the last day of each week’s walks
Cash payments: Aussie Dog Walkers do not carry change. It is your responsibility to ensure that the correct payment is left at the time of collection.

Access to Premises: Key Pick Up and Return
We recommend the key is available at initial consultation as additional call out fees will be charged. Aussie Dog Walkers require access to premises and suitable arrangements must be made to allow for this. Aussie Dog Walkers prefer that a key is made available at the initial consultation and any special instructions re: access, be outlined at that time. Aussie Dog Walkers will keep the key in an approved key safe at all times identified only by dog name. The key will be returned to you at the termination of your contract with Aussie Dog Walkers.

Vaccination Policy
Proof of up-to-date C5 vaccination must be provided. C5 certificate can be provided by your veterinarian. The Pet Owner understands that they will need to confirm that their dog has not been ill within the past 30 days.

Emergencies
You must ensure that your pet is in good health. If we believe your pet is not in good health we reserve the right to seek veterinary advice on your behalf and you will be liable for any veterinary fees.
We will always use reasonable judgement in caring for your pet. In the unlikely event of an emergency, every attempt will be made to notify you of the situation, however, if you are unable to be contacted, we reserve the right to seek immediate veterinary attention as required at your cost.
You understand that should any pet become ill or injured whilst in the care of Aussie Dog Walkers, our staff will administer basic first-aid and contact you (the owner) immediately if transfer to a veterinary clinic for further treatment is required. Any expenses incurred are at the cost of the you (the owner.) Aussie Dog Walkers reserves the right to transfer to our nominated clinic.
You (the owner) understand and agree that you shall be liable for all expenses incurred by Aussie Dog Walkers in the course of obtaining treatments for you dog.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations less than 48hrs prior to booking will forfeit the full booking fee.
Bitches on heat will not be walked. The only exception to this is where an individual walk has been booked in advance.
Dogs will not be walked in temperatures exceeding 30 degrees.
Dogs will be walked in light rain but not in heavy rain, thunderstorms or lightning.

Business Hours
Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm. Weekend walks by special arrangement

Feeding
It is of the utmost importance that you give full information in relation to the needs and requirements of your pet. Aussie Dog Walkers and its employees will not be held responsible if full instructions are not given in advance of the service.

Any medications to be administered are done so at extra cost and no liability will be assumed by Aussie Dog Walkers for unforeseen side effects as a result of medications administered.

Identification and Registration
All dogs must be registered with the relevant local authority and have a current local authority identification tag affixed to the collar. It is a legal requirement that dogs be registered with the appropriate local authority and no exceptions will be made.

Behaviour/Aggressive Dogs
Unsocialised dogs will not be taken on group walks. You (the owner) agree to disclose any known aggressive/behavioural issues prior to their induction.
You (the owner) acknowledge that Aussie Dog Walkers staff may use certain forms of corrective behaviour techniques (in no way injurious to the pet) to allow for and maintain a safe environment.

Vaccinations. Flea and Tick Prevention
All dogs must have a current C5 vacation certificate prior to commencement of walks.
You (the owner) understand and agree that should your dog be found as having fleas, worms or ticks your dog will be treated immediately and the cost of treatment charged to you (the owner). You (the owner) will be informed via phone call or upon drop off/pick up.

Indemnification
You (the owner) accept all liability and shall indemnify Aussie Dog Walkers, its employees, agents and/or representatives from any claims or actions of any kind arising from any loss, injury or harm that your dog sustains or inflicts upon another dog or person whilst in the care of Aussie Dog Walkers. You (the owner) shall reimburse Aussie Dog Walkers for all services rendered, and services sought from third parties such as medical treatment in relation to any loss, injuries or harm sustained by your dog or inflicted by your dog upon a dog or person whilst in the care of Aussie Dog Walkers.
